After designing the new Convention Hotel in the Convention Center parking lot, there was no room for a pool. The Housing Authority came up with a rent subsidy idea, whereby tenants could lease truck beds to use for budget pools to hotel guests and get a discount on their rent. Guests will be able to splurge for a tour of Macon if they wish, which will allow them to stretch out in the truck beds and see the sights at the same time.
