Steve Benson is editorial cartoonist for the Arizona Republic Newspaper. As a teenager, he graduated from the famous "Draw-This-Dog-on-the-Back-of-a-Matchbook" correspondence school, and later obtained his bachelor's degree in political science summa cum laude from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Benson won the coveted Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1993, and has been a four-time finalist for the same aware. His work has appeared in numerous books and other publications. His favorite political figures for cartooning include Newt Gingrich, Clarence Thomas, Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio, two former governors of Arizona, and Bill Clinton.
Steve's speech title will be "Tooning Out Religion."

For example, you will find Billy Joel on this link, and in his profile he taks about going to a Catholic church with some friends even though he was a Jew. And then he was taken to a Church of Chist with his mother and baptized and the pastor held up a dollar bill and said "this is the flag of the Jews." Of course, Billy Joel and his family left this church because those were words that would hurt anyone. He talked about not wanting the guilt of Jesus on his hands because he was not responsible, and that is why I think so many Jews have turned to Atheism (a table I discovered shows that there are 25% Atheist in Israel). Many actors on this list probably have similar stories.
