Ernst Zundel was born on April 24, 1939, in a small town in the Black Forest region of southwestern Germany . He emigrated to Canada at the age of 19, where he soon married and became the father of two sons. His career as a graphic artist was successful, with his work appearing, for example, on the front cover of Canada 's national news magazine, Maclean's.

Setting aside his thriving career, he dedicated himself to the great task, as he saw it, of redeeming the sullied reputation of his fellow Germans. Through his Samisdat publishing house he distributed worldwide a prodigious quantity of books, booklets, leaflets, newsletters, and audio and video cassettes. Simon Wiesenthal, the well-known "Nazi hunter," called Zundel the world's number one distributor of allegedly dangerous literature and cassettes.

Political Prisoner Ernst Zundel Deported Secretly & Whisked by Chartered Plane to Germany
Word has just reached me that Ernst Zundel was taken in a special, chartered (?) plane to Germany, where he reportedly landed at 10 p.m., German time, in Frankfurt. There, he will be arrested for "Holocaust Denial" allegedly found on the Zundelsite - and taken to the Mannheim Prison. So, once again, this is a "cyber war" involving an American website? Blue Ribbons to the fore! Most Americans do not know who Ernst Zundel is or know that he was taken from his home in the United States and deported to Canada and held in prison for writing a book that cotradicts much of the Jewish Holocaust. Can you imagine, that in a Democracy such as Canada that someone would be held in a deplorable prison for exercising free speech? Well, you had better wake up people because this is the thought police in action. Am I anti-semite, anti-black, anti-moslem or anti anything? No, I am pro free speech, and I do not like suppression of my rights or anyone's rights for that matter. I do know that not one of us is without sin, and that to speak of Jews doing something wrong in society gets one an oh my goodness look of shock. Why would anyone believe that a group of people could be perfect? I am not perfect, and I know darn well that all Jews are not perfect. I detest history being rewritten to hide the truth. Jews were involved in the slave trade, Jews are involved in pornography, Jews are involved in the drug trade, and Jews commit murder just like other people that may be Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Mormon, Atheist, Muslim or any other group or also involved in crimes. It is time to allow those that have researched history to tell what their research shows. Why suppress and hide the truth? Zundel has not been put in prison for anything other than writing about things that some Jews do not want the rest of the world to read. On restrictions on freedom of speech, the Canadian government has also banned and burned the book written by Dr. David Duke called "Jewish Supremacist." It is time that we speak about this suppression of our rights to free speech, to do otherwise will allow us to fall as many other governments have also done. I do not think anyone of you reading this would want your rights to free speech to be taken away, and think about this helpless man being held a prisoner for committing no crime.
