THE BIG PICTURE OF A NATURAL DISASTER AND PYRAMID GOVERNMENT BEAURACRACY

After 911, the Department of Homeland Security was created in order that we could have emergency preparedness. All states were supposed to create a plan for emergencies. And this link is just a link of the beauracracy in New Orleans alone, and if you go to it then you wll see eleven different phone numbers just for the various parishes for Home Land Security offices.

Now, these people employed in each of these offices were paid salaries (one would assume), and no doubt it was like other government offices, there were probably assistants and assistants had assistants. Now common sense dictates that if you are the Mayor of New Orleans that you would know the demographics of your City and know that 25% of the residents live below the povery line. You would know that these folks have no means to leave the City, and that most likely they will seek refuge in the Dome and the Coliseum. Also, it is no secret that a criminal element was terrorizing the City because high crime reports tell the story. Now, if one does some research they will find that police officers did not have enough bullet proof vests after this disaster and they were running out of ammunition.

Now with over $500,000 per day in taxes collected in New Orleans from gambling casinos alone: the nay sayers should admit that bottled cases of water could have been in these large centers that I mentioned above with portable toilets set up. Diapers could have been put in storage as could some non-perishable food that includes baby formula. The Mayor could have requested this from Wal-Mart and put in on the City's tab. The blame begins with the Mayor, as he used these very Citizens to get elected and he had a duty to assure their well being.

The Governor of Louisianna is also at fault for not knowing what to do in such a disaster, as should her massive staff. The state patrol could have been ordered to New Orleans to guard the dome before the Hurricane hit and set up command posts in the numerous offices of the dome. The people on the ground are the first responders, and because of a lack of planning a disaster began that was spun out of control. The federal government cannot be big daddy for all. What if we had been hit with a terrorist attack in Los Angeles at the same time the hurricane hit the gulf coast?

The problem with big government is that there are way too many chiefs and not enough actual on the ground workers. Lip service does not get the job done, you need to have workers mobilized to hit the ground running.
If you think this was bad, what do you think it would be like with Hillary's model government as she promotes in "It takes a Village." What more $100,000 a year jobs with thousands and thousands of management people that would never dream of sweeping up the filth that our armed forces are now doing in New Orleans. Think about the horrendous sights that our brave men and women are witnessing on the ground on this Labor Day Weekend. There is no time to relax with families and enjoy Labor Day, and many just returned from Iraq and have been called back in.
If anything, this proves beyond a reasonable doubt that the liberal policies of the Democrat type of government is the failure.

Do not allow your coworkers, acquaintances and family members to blame the President, and turn this into a political mud slinging event. Debate with them, and make them tell you what they would have done if they were the Mayor of New Orleans.

God bless our Country because we have three wars being waged right now:

A war between those that know the truth and those that refuse to know.

A war on terrorism that is a global war.

A war of natural disasters that we cannot control at all.
